Qing Jing Farm is 1,750 meters above the sea level. This wide grassy plain is the most popular site of the Qingjing Veterans Farm; the herds of sheep grazing on the land and mountains in the horizon have a distinct European style.

Wuling National Forest Recreation Area 武嶺

Wuling National Forest Recreational Area at 3,275 metres above sea level situated in north-eastern Taichung is the highest automobile pass in Taiwan.

The road is narrow and winding throughout, and is considered a dangerous and difficult road. After several incidents, buses and large trucks were barred from this point.

Hehuanshan National Forest Recreation Area 合歡山

Ticket: Free Entrance

Open: 24 hours

Hehuanshan peak lies on the boundaries of Nantou and Hualien counties and is within the Taroko Gorge National Park. The Hehuanshan Road is currently the only paved road leading across the Central Mountains from Taichung City to Hualien via the famous and beautiful Taroko Gorge.

Taroko National Park 太魯閣國家公園

Situated in the eastern part of the Taiwan and established on November 28, 1986, covers more than 92,000 hectares in the northern section of the Central Mountain Range. This park features high mountains and sheer gorges.

Most of its peaks height are more than 3,000m above sea level, with many natural wonders. The 20 km-long Taroko Gorge is the world’s largest marble canyon.

Xiao Cun told us, this Yue Wang Ting become famous after the Korean shooting a film here.

Many Korean tourists requested to visit this place after watching the movie.

Cimu Bridge (Motherly Devotion Bridge) 慈母橋

Cimu Bridge is an H-Shape hanging bridge with marble stone lions on each end and with marble lotus stones on two sides.

The frog-like rock is composed of black layer of schist at the top and white marble at the bottom. A pavilion was built on this frog rock, becoming the crown on the frog. This was built by late President Chiang Jing-guo, in memory of his mother.

Cimu pavilion area is on the east side of the bridge, built by late President Chiang Kai-shek, in memory of his mother, Mrs. Wang.

The rock beneath the bridge looks like a frog.

慈母橋是一座形狀美麗的紅色大橋，位於天祥以東3公里處的中橫公路上，為立霧溪與其支流荖西溪的匯流處。慈母橋東側橋頭建有「慈母亭」，是先總統蔣中正為紀念母親王太夫人所建，而橋中段旁的青蛙石上有「蘭亭」，看似青蛙頭上戴著皇冠，這是經國先生為紀念其母所建。

Swallow Grotto Trial 燕子口步道

Following the Central Cross-Island Highway, at Swallow Grotto, the rocky cliffs of the Liwu River gorge seem to reach to heaven, while the river runs its swiftest and the distance between the gorge walls so narrow that they almost seem to touch each other.

The walls are very steep and narrow and very deep. Beware of falling rocks!!

燕子口為太魯閣峽谷岩壁中的其中一段，在河流與地下水長期的侵蝕下而造成壁上許多小型洞穴，吸引了小雨燕、洋燕等在洞中築巢而居，近而吸引遊客前來觀賞，形成「百燕鳴谷」的奇景。

Qi Xing Lake 七星潭

Open: 24 hours

Qixing Lake (Qixingtan) is located in the northeast of Hualien City. The beach there has an elegant arch shape. The seawater is clean and blue. The black stones are crystal. From Qixing Lake, people can look over the Qingshui Cliff, great green mountains and the twisting highways.
