Sheng Xing 2

Shenghsing Old Railway Station

Shenghsing Railway station is the highest point in western Taiwan’s north-south railway line. The station is at 402 meters elevation above sea level. The station took 5 years to built. The whole buildings only use wood as building material for its wooden beams structure without using any nails.

Shenghsing station appearance filled with a strong flavor and aura of the Japanese occupation era, after nearly a hundred years it’s still able to survived.

After the double-track railway line in operations, Shenghsing Station and along with others old railway stations will become history.

:)
